Baby Raspberry Coconut Macaroon Oatmeal Bowl

Wholesome, soft-textured, and naturally sweet—this baby breakfast is a gentle intro to solids.

Looking for a quick, nourishing, baby-approved breakfast that’s as cute as it is comforting? This Raspberry Coconut Macaroon Oat Bowl is soft, simple, and subtly sweet with flavors your little one will love—and maybe you will too.

Inspired by the texture and flavor of a coconut macaroon, this warm oat bowl is perfect for babies learning to self-feed or just starting solids. The oats cook up soft and creamy, mashed raspberries add natural sweetness and vitamin C, and the coconut brings in healthy fats and delicious flavor.

Best part? It takes under 5 minutes to make and is totally customizable for baby-led weaning or spoon-feeding.

Why You’ll Love This for Baby:
    • Naturally dairy-optional, nut-free, and refined sugar-free
    • Soft texture that’s easy to chew or swallow
    • Great source of iron, fiber, and healthy fats
    • Only 5 real ingredients—no fuss
    • Perfect for ages 6 months+ when oats and berries are safely introduced

Ingredients (Makes 1 Baby-Size Portion)
    • 2 tbsp quick oats
    • 3–4 tbsp water (to cook oats)
    • 2 tbsp milk of choice (breastmilk, formula, or unsweetened plant milk)
    • 1/2 tbsp unsweetened shredded coconut
    • 2-3 Tbsp fresh raspberries, mashed

Optional: a pinch of cinnamon or chia seeds for texture and flavor

Instructions
1. Cook the Oats

In a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, combine oats, water, and milk.
Cook according to package instructions, stirring frequently, until soft and creamy. Let cool slightly.

2. Mash & Mix

Mash the raspberries with a fork. Stir into the oat bowl along with the shredded coconut.

3. Serve Warm

Let it cool to a baby-safe temperature before serving. You can spoon-feed or serve in a suction bowl for the baby to explore on their own.

Dietitian Mom Notes

This tiny bowl is packed with benefits:

    • Oats provide iron, a key nutrient for babies 6 months+
    • Raspberries add antioxidants and fiber
    • Coconut gives healthy fats to support brain development
    • The combo of texture and color makes it fun and engaging for little eaters

Tip: Double or triple the recipe for toddler snacks or big-kid breakfasts.

Easy Swaps & Add-Ins
  • Use mashed banana, blueberries, or strawberries instead of raspberries
  • Add chia seeds or ground flax for extra fiber
  • For older babies/toddlers: mix in a little full-fat yogurt or a spoon of nut/seed butter
